Terms of Service

Last updated: April 20, 2026

Welcome to RoadDXF. These terms govern your use of roaddxf.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service Does

RoadDXF is a browser-based tool that converts OpenStreetMap data and other publicly available map sources into DXF (CAD) files for use in AutoCAD and similar drafting software. You draw a bounding box on a map, and the Service exports a DXF containing roads, building footprints, address points, parcel boundaries, and other selected features within that box.

2. Your Account

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

RoadDXF offers a free trial and three paid subscription tiers (Drafting, Professional, Firm), each with a monthly export limit. Pricing is shown on our landing page and may change; existing subscribers will be notified of any price changes before they take effect.

4. Refunds

RoadDXF does not offer refunds for subscription payments. You may cancel at any time to stop future charges. See our Refund Policy for details.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

6. Ownership of Exported Files

DXF files you generate through the Service are yours to use however you like — including commercial drafting, client deliverables, and redistribution as part of a larger project. The underlying map data is sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors and other public data providers, whose attribution requirements you are responsible for honoring if you publish the maps themselves. See our Privacy Policy for details on data sources.

7. Service Availability

We do our best to keep the Service running, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service depends on third-party data sources (OpenStreetMap, county assessor APIs, Census TIGER, etc.) that may be temporarily unavailable. Export quality and feature completeness varies by region based on public data coverage.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the exported DXF files are accurate, complete, or fit for any specific engineering, legal, or regulatory purpose. Do not rely on RoadDXF exports as a substitute for surveyed data in safety-critical or legally-binding work.

RoadDXF exports are intended as a starting draft that saves time in a drafter's workflow, not a finished drawing. Exports depend on the quality and completeness of public map data (OpenStreetMap, county GIS, TIGER Census) which varies by region. Output will typically require cleanup — trimming, connecting, aligning, or removing features — before use in a production CAD drawing. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting exports before relying on them for any professional purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoadDXF and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity. On termination, you will lose access to the Service, but DXF files you already downloaded remain yours.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. If changes are significant, we will notify active subscribers by email. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
