Accessibility Statement
Last audited: June 26, 2026 · Last updated: June 2026
Our Commitment
RoadDXF is committed to making our website and tools accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as they apply to digital services.
We believe accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a checkbox. We actively work to identify and remove barriers as our product evolves.
Conformance Status
RoadDXF is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, with the documented limitations listed below. "Substantially conformant" means the site meets the standard for the great majority of features, but a small number of components are still being brought into full conformance.
Our most recent audit (June 26, 2026) using WAVE, Lighthouse, and manual checks found zero hard accessibility errors on the main pages. We address every issue we find. We re-audit after every release that changes user-facing UI.
Accessibility Features
RoadDXF currently incorporates the following accessibility practices:
- Semantic HTML5 markup with appropriate landmark regions
- Descriptive
altattributes on informational images - Keyboard-navigable controls and interactive elements
- Sufficient color contrast on text and UI elements
- Resizable text without loss of content or functionality
- Descriptive link text and button labels
- Focus indicators on interactive elements
- ARIA labels on map controls and dynamic status regions
Known Limitations
The following items do not yet meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. Workarounds are noted where they exist.
- Bounding box drawing requires a mouse or touchscreen (WCAG 2.1.1): The core map interaction is drag-to-draw and does not currently have a keyboard equivalent. Workaround: contact us at support@roaddxf.com and we will run the export for you with the coordinates you provide. A keyboard alternative (typed lat/lng inputs) is on our roadmap.
- Hero demo video has no captions or sidecar transcript (WCAG 1.2.1): The video has no audio track, so captions are not strictly required. A short text description of what the video shows is provided immediately after the video in the page source for screen reader users.
- Some fine-print labels in the app sidebar are below 12px (WCAG 1.4.4): All text is zoomable. Use your browser zoom (Ctrl/Cmd +) to enlarge sidebar controls.
- Exported DXF files: DXF is a CAD interchange format that does not support tagged structure. Accessibility of the exported file depends on your CAD application.
- Coverage map widget on the homepage: The interactive US coverage map conveys state-level coverage tier through color. A complete text list of covered counties is available in the per-state hover panel, which is also accessible to keyboard users.
If you encounter any barrier not listed here, please contact us using the email below. We treat every accessibility report as a priority bug.
